Prophecy or Doom?

Nigeria Jaga Jaga
Everything scatter scatter

.... Years after Eedris Abdulkareem released the controversial hit track describing the situation of things in the country, little or nothing seems to have changed.

We always have a weird way of doing just everything.

Few days ago, i saw a screaming headline -as they call it-  on almost every NEWS Platform.

It read;
There Are Plans To Assassinate President Buhari – Fr. Mbaka

Very few people are seeing what is wrong with this.
But i think a lot of things is wrong with the story.

Now, if you already want to hang me, calm down abeg.
I believe in prophecies. but i am not comfortable with the way the messages are passed.

I/We don't doubt Prophecies, even though we know some so called 'men of God' are milking unsuspecting members of the public with it and bringing shame to the gospel.

But the way in which Nigeria men of God share their Prophecies or messages is so wrong, and in a way patronizing.
And sometimes, it could be inciting.

The claims by Fr Mbaka that there are plans to assassinate President Mohammadu Buhari is shocking.
Why i can not doubt his prophecies (im not God) we should not forget that Muhammadu Buhari is not just an ordinary person, he is a president of a Country for God sake.

Especially in a country struggling with religious and tribal issues.

Fr Mbaka is a very important persona especially after the part he played during the last election.
So he should know better.

What if God forbid, something happens to President Buhari?
What if it was natural and something else?
But Fr Mbaka said it was planned, so what happens next?

Keep guessing.

Controversial messages or prophecies in Nigeria has become a norms in the country.

Few days back, it was alleged that Pastor Adeboye prophesied during his new year service that there would be a new sexually transmitted disease this year.

The founder of Omega Fire Ministry, Apostle Sulieman was not left out. he too was alleged to have said a lot about the nation in 2016.

But what is striking amongs all of them is the part where he said a serving governor may die this year.

There are other prophesies for our beloved Nigeria from different religious leaders, i just listed the trending ones, every 'Man of God wants to be heard.

So like every musical artist waiting for January to drop a hit track, it is now becoming a tradition for Religious leaders to make prophecies especially at the beginning of the year or during elections.

Years back, persons claiming to be prophets had predicted the death of former President Olusegun Obasanjo before the end of his stay in office.
Well you know the end of the  story.

Sometimes you wonder if Prophecies are meant to put fear in the minds of the people.

I would say no more but conclude this way

Fr Mbaka's message.......

I believe there are better channels of passing such messages which are sensitive or are capable of inciting violence.
Though i never attended the program where he said it, but he has not come out to deny saying it.

There are security agencies that are saddled with
the responsibility of protecting the President and his family, such threat to the office of the president should be reported to them.

And religious leaders should quickly come out to dissociate themselves from fake stories always flying around concerning sensitive issues. Especially those attributed to them

We pray Nigeria would be great in 2016.
Have a Blessed Sunday.
