Woke up this morning to the NEWS that TU Face Idibia has cancelled the much-publicised National Protest.
It is just so sad... Am very sure lots of Nigerians have been waiting for February 6, to air their frustrations before the government.
What makes this really sad is that since the inception of this government, it has been very difficult for anyone to vent or protest concerning issues plundering the country.
Today’s situation in the country is increasingly worrisome but surprisingly everybody seems so calm, or scared?
It has got me thinking, Democracy is gradually dying in our country, People have never been so scared of either talking or acting against the ills of government.
But, how bad does it have to get before something happens.
I don’t support those that say 2baba has ruined his career because of this disappointment, he has already paid his dues.
But he really did disappoint a lot of us especially the youths who have been hungry for true change for a long time, or what else would have made an incumbent lose an election in a country like ours.
So of course, February 6th was one of, if not the most Anticipated day in Nigeria in recent time.
It meant a lot to most Nigerians especially those who have been pushed beyond their limit.
I am very sure that a great number of persons were prepared to leave their homes, and businesses to vent their frustration..
But can we blame Tuface
Before we nail him to a cross, think for a minute what the man would have been going through this last few hours before he finally made the announcement.
Our vampire politicians must have threatened him and his family.
The series of calls he must have gotten In the last 48 hours.
He was not getting the required support he thought he would have, not from the security agencies who I suspected were going to create problems for him, or celebrities who you would have thought would have his back, they were all divided.
Even we the ‘‘Common Nigerians’’ were not sure what we wanted, instead of putting our problems first, we kept on finding all the ‘comas’ with Tuface.
I can imagine 2baba carrying Nigeria’s problem on his head for the pass few days.
And of course, Nigerians we plan too much.
That has been our problem, we plan venue, cloth to use for protest, colour of colour to use. haba.
Americans were not comfortable with Donald Trump leading them and the next minute they were in the streets.
Nigeria!!! it is well
I just hope that one day, we all can all unite ourselves.
Hunger does not Chose who to visit between a Christian and a muslim
Hunger does not know party affiliation
Hunger does not discriminate between a Man and woman, or a black and white person.
Hunger is not tribalistic.
Hunger in our country today is as a result of bad leadership and bad leadership in the country today is the fault of majority of Nigerians.
Absence a revolution and willingness to die for causes one beliefs
in, Nigerians will keep eating crows till thy kingdom come.
After all, who wan die, therefore we shall keep enduring the
sufferings until thy kingdom come.
